This is part two of our series with Postpartum and Labor + Delivery nurse, Mackenzie from @mackenzie.on.motherhood. If you haven’t listened to episode 27 yet, we highly recommend you go back and listen to that episode as well. Today we are talking all about your hospital day after birth - what you can expect, things people don’t always talk about and things that might surprise you.

As a labor & delivery and postpartum nurse, Mackenzie doesn’t shy away from the things people don’t always talk about in postpartum. She shares what women can expect immediately after you birth your baby, advice on what to do with those first few hours immediately after birth, and what things a partner can do to help the birthing person out.

After listening to this episode, we want you to know that it is okay to allow yourself to be nursed and mothered during your early postpartum days. You don’t have to have all the answers. This period of time is really hard for most of us. And you deserve to be cared for!
