Just as Cassidy has to tell her story again and again to each newcomer in her life, so does Patti, who is a badass woman in franchising and a gay, Latina daughter of an immigrant single mother. As Patti says, she checks off a lot of boxes!
As hard as it is to take the leap and share who we are with our peers that very first time, each re-telling and each honest moment afterward is just as hard. The ongoing process of sharing ourselves with those around us requires a kind of fearlessness, and that fearlessness leads to true authenticity.
