Conversation or voice AI is an artificial intelligence tech that enables people to interact with various advanced chatbots as they would do with other humans.
The technology itself is relatively new, but the progress in its adoption and implementation has been significant. Conversational AI is rapidly improving and is shifting towards B2B, as there are many business opportunities.
To understand exactly how conversational AI can be applied and where it is heading in the future, in this episode of “The Future Of” Jeff is joined by Kane Simms, Founder of VUX World, and Roger Kibbe, Senior Developer Evangelist at Samsung Research America.
They cover:

  • [00:05:53] Conversation and voice AI keeps on improving. In the last couple of years, the industry shifted its focus from the consumer to the B2B side
  • [00:09:21] The breadth of conversational AI is vast, and it is used in business areas where there is a lot of customer demand. You can find voice AI in insurance, financial services, banking, retail, hospitality, travel, healthcare, industry sectors, and government
  • [00:14:15] Conversational AI developed fast as the go-to-market for those devices was very effective, brought a novelty to the market, and made people's lives easier
  • [00:20:09] The technology of voice AI is good. There are technologies for detecting your emotions, sentiment analysis, voice biometrics, and speech recognition. In recent years, the accuracy level of these technologies has increased, and they are ready for production and business adoption
  • [00:32:43] Regarding healthcare, voice AI could detect anomalies in your overall health or remind you to take your medication on time. It can also help with mental health issues. For doctors, there are applications like recording what they say and eliminating the need to type or assist during operations
  • [00:39:29] In robotics, most human-like robots should have a conversational interface. Generally, voice AI will be an assistant for every device to understand if there are any problems or help humans with their daily activities
  • [00:47:26] The operating system level in the metaverse needs navigation capabilities that voice AI might be useful for. And the same thing applies to digital avatars

If you’re interested in the concept of conversational AI, tune into this episode of “The Future of”, a Podcast by Fresh Consulting.
