On today's episode, I chat with my good buddy, Phillip Sanders. We first met back in 2012 when I first came to Oakland through a mutual friend and have remained in contact since then. Phillip, originally from Chicago, IL, is a strategist at heart and excels at providing solutions to problems. He is a financial auditor at his core, having served as a financial auditor for the top accounting firm in the country, Ernst & Young. Currently, as a Partner, he guides individuals and corporations on business strategy implementation and problem-solving through consulting at a venture capital firm called New Media Ventures.
The episode is full of great discussion topics such as his journey from college to his current career. We also discuss his dating experience and we also reflect on using social media, our connections throughout the years, his relationship with video games, his close encounter with death, and much more.
