iCoach: The Podcast is powered by VYPE. James Vint has been an offensive, defensive, and special teams coordinator at the high school and college levels. He has been on the forefront of development of new concepts, and is a trusted resource for coaches at all levels of football. As an offensive coordinator Vint has been a part of some of the most explosive offenses in football. His 2001 team averaged over 300 yards on the ground and over 450 yards of total offense. In 2003 his offense had 6 games with over 300 yards rushing and 3 games with over 400 yards on the ground. They also set a school record with 91 snaps in a game. Vint's offenses are known for being innovative and on the cutting edge. He was one of the first coaches to run the pistol, and is considered one of the go to coaches in regards to the pistol and spread. In addition to speaking at clinics on football strategies, Vint also speaks to organizations on character, culture, and leadership. He has a passion for Christ, and recently wrote his first book on his Christian walk, called Finding Faith. Vint enjoys sharing his testimony, and speaking to groups about building faith. iCoach: The Podcast is powered by VYPE. A native of Olathe, Kansas, Johnson received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History Education from Mid America Nazarene University, in Olathe, Kansas in 1996. Johnson holds two Masters degrees. The first was received from Texas Christian University in Liberal Arts, and the second from Fort Hays State in Education Administration. After completing his undergraduate degree, he served as an assistant coach and classroom teacher in the Shawnee Mission School district, in Overland Park, Kansas. Five years later Johnson was offered the chance to coach at the college level. Johnson would go on to coach at TCU under Frogs Head Coaches Dennis Franchione and Gary Patterson. Winning bowl games and coaching with one of the NFL's best ever players in LaDainian Tomlinson. After receiving his Master’s degree from TCU, he began a successful stint at various high schools and colleges in Kansas and Texas. Johnson was CVL coach of the year in 2000 and would go on to coach in the NCAA Division 2 final four while at Texas A&M University of Kingsville. Johnson returned to full time high school coaching in Texas in the 2009 as the offensive coordinator at South Grand Prairie. Johnson also served as the director of recruiting. Johnson would then go on to be the head football Assistant AD at Maypearl ISD before leaving to become an Offensive coordinator and Recruiting Director at Duncanville ISD and eventually the Athletic Director, Head Football coach at Bonham. While at Bonham Johnson was instrumental in helping flip a dormant program, while helping the community and its stake holders pass the first bond in 35 years for new facilities and a new high school. 2018 marks the 26th year of coaching for Johnson. A teacher of life skills as well as athletics, Johnson has coached or trained over 100 offensive linemen who have earned college scholarships. Johnson is excited to lead the Longhorn program of W.T. White. "There is no greater joy than helping young people realize their goals and dreams." Named one of 50 Most Impactful Coaches in JUCO Men’s Basketball, head coach and alumnus John Mosley returns to East Los Angeles College for his 9th season as Head Men’s Basketball Coach. He enters the 2020-21 season with a 189-50 record during his tenure in Huskies’ green, and has led the program to eight-straight CCCAA State Playoff appearances. By all accounts, Mosley’s Huskies enjoyed their best season in ELAC history during the 2019-20 campaign. The team had their eyes on the CCCAA State Title, entering the Championship Tournament with a program-best 29-1 record while being ranked the second-best team in the state – ELAC’s highest CCCMBCA ranking ever. The Huskies won the South Coast Conference-North title for the fifth straight year while dominating all sorts of conference honors: Freshman forward Kealen (KJ) Allen was named SCC-North Player of the Year while Coach Mosley earned his fifth SCC-North Coach of the Year award; four Huskies were named to the All-SCC North first team and another to the conference’s second team. Mosley also was named the 2019-2020 SCC Fall Men’s Coach of the Year, the second time he’s earned the honor (2013-14). Nine Huskies successfully matriculated to 4-year universities from this season’s squad. Mosley's ELAC Huskies are currently featured in the 2021 season of the Netflix Emmy Award-winning sports documentary series: Last Chance U. In seven years, Miller has guided the YellowJackets to three 20-win seasons and two NCAA Division III Tournaments. Miller has twice been named American Southwest Conference East Division Coach of the Year (2016-17 and 2017-18), and was named National Association of Basketball Coaches South Region Coach of the Year in 2018. His teams have gone 110-64 at LeTourneau.Miller came to LETU after a successful career as a collegiate assistant and as a head high school boys basketball coach at Seven Lakes High School in Katy, Texas. After a stint as an assistant at the University of Southwest Minnesota from 2003-04 under head coach Greg Stemen, Miller built the program from scratch at Seven Lakes. In his nine years with the Spartans, he posted a 218-70 overall record, winning four district titles, three 30-plus win seasons, two regional appearances and seven straight playoff appearances. The two regional appearances and seven consecutive playoff appearances was unprecedented in Katy Intermediate School District. The high school program developed by Miller at Seven Lakes produced 32 of a possible 43 district titles among the five teams. Thirteen of Miller's former student-athletes continued their basketball skills on the collegiate level, including six on the NCAA Division I level. Miller was named the District 19-5A Coach of the Year on four occasions, the Katy ISD All Sports Coach of the Year in 2010, and was selected to coach the 2012 All-Star Game by the Houston Area Basketball Coaches Association. Miller is a 2000 graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato, and has a master's in education degree from Lamar University. Washington State head coach Nick Rolovich announced February 26, 2021, that Marco Regalado has been hired as a Recruiting Assistant for the Cougar Football program. Regalado begins his first season with the Cougars after working the 2020 season as the running backs coach and recruiting coordinator at V.R. Eaton High School in Texas where they enjoyed the best season in school history with a 9-4 record and saw a pair of running backs record combine for over 2,000 yards of total offense. Regalado worked the 2019 season as a special teams coordinator and linebackers coach at PSJ Memorial High School and worked in a variety of roles at Mathis High School in Texas in 2018 after coaching the 2016-17 seasons at Santa Gertrudis High School in Texas where they claimed their first District title in school history. From 2014-16, Regalado coached as a graduate assistant at Texas A&M – Kingsville where he worked with the defensive line. He received a football scholarship to play cornerback at Oklahoma Panhandle State University. While attending OPSU he earned two All-Conference honors and received a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. Coach Paul has coached at three other high schools prior to coming to Duncanville to be the head boys track and field coach. He started his career at South Grand Prairie and then has been to Crowley and Kennedale HS. Kennedale was his first Head Coaching job, where he was able to bring two district titles, two Area titles, two Regional titles, and the first State Championship title in school history. Ryan Graves is currently and assistant football coach at Temple HS in Temple, TX. He has just completed his first season with Temple and is headed into his 2nd season. Prior to joining the Temple football program, Ryan spent time in Waco ISD where he started his career. Now he has taken on a roll at one horse town and we talk about his experiences in both areas.
