In this episode we are going to be talking about I am not for everyone and you are not for everyone, which is a subject we’ve wanted to talk about after discussing people’s differences and varying approaches to life and creative energy. We discuss why some people might feel they need to adapt and change themselves, and then why it is important to keep being yourself and not compromise who you are when you’re in various situations or around various people. We reflect on our lives before and after we met each other and the good and bad changes we have experienced. “The telltale signs that I’m in the right crowd is that the conversation doesn’t feel challenging. The silences aren’t awkward and the conversation isn’t forced.” 21:26
What happens when people try to change who they are 2:23
Why you shouldn’t change yourself 5:21
An example of people balancing each other 11:17
The importance of reflection 19:10
“When you try to go against what’s natural to you, it’s painful. So you think about it, when you can be yourself and you allow yourself to be yourself, one, it will bring you joy, but two, those who resonate with you will find you and that will bring you joy and them more joy.” 3:59
