ATG Principle #2

TENSION is the key variable we are manipulating.

We can create it with heavy loads moving slow or fast... Or with light loads moving fast...
Being in SHORT or LONG Range when the tension is created determines the risk of injury and the type of adaptations that will result!
It's all tension training... this concept helps end the distinction between "Field & Gym" for athletes... it's all tension... the relative tendon, muscle, neural load can be calculated / estimated based on the positions and rates of loading.
Progressing tension in the direction that is needed goes beyond BAR VELOCITY to focus on the internal adaptations rather than the external stimulus.

What do you think? What would you add / change about this principle?
