Roderick Mishoe from Mishoe’s Mobile Gaming stopped by the show to talk about his path to business ownership including coming up with the original idea, how he achieved fast success and innovating to keep his business growing.

For prospective business owners, you might be wondering where to start. The thought of owning a business can be exciting and scary all at once. We enjoyed having Roderick talk the original inspiration for creating his company and then the steps he took to get the business out to the public. In this show we talk everything from police life to working at the Coastal Carolina University football Fan Fest. As a person that loves his community he has always had a mindset of helping others be their best!

Some show highlights:

-Roderick is a military man and retired in 2014

-He was a police officer as well and talks about how he wanted to help people to get past a bad time and improve

-We talked about his time working with the Panthers and meeting people from Keyshawn Johnson to Christian McCaffrey

-One of his first ways he got his new company established was to join his local Chamber of Commerce in Conway

-Rob and Roderick first met at the Coastal Carolina University Fan Fest at Teal Town before the football games; they talked about the energy, CCU and entertaining the fans.

-Retro gaming is still a big market and has been part of his business strategy (where are our Mario and Zelda fans)

-Rob and Roderick both talked about how opposites attract in both personal life with their wife’s and in business with employees. Planned properly you can have the perfect team that covers for each other’s weaknesses and allows each other to maximize their strengths

-He talked about his passion to help kids and interactivity in gaming and learning

-We spoke about the introduction of VR into learning and entertainment including the use of Be Pro, Be Proud to give kids a chance to learn about construction

-Fortnite is one of the most popular games for kids currently

-Roderick is planning and innovating for 2024 – he describes a system he invested in that will give his customers a more immersive mobile gaming experiences

We hope you all enjoy the show!
