Where has the rise of antisemitism in the 21st century come from? How do we distinguish between antisemitism and anti-Zionism? And what can our communities and faith groups do to combat the rise of racism in the current political climate? This is the first of two seminars with academics and authors who have written recently on the subject of antisemitism. Keith Kahn-Harris is a sociologist and writer. He is a senior lecturer at Leo Baeck College and runs the European Jewish Research Archive at the Institute for Jewish Policy Research. Strange Hate: Antisemitism, Racism and the Limits of Diversity is his sixth book. Dave Rich is Director of Policy for CST and an Associate Research Fellow at the Pears Institute for the Study of Antisemitism, Birkbeck, University of London. He is author of the book The Left's Jewish Problem: Jeremy Corbyn, Israel and Anti-Semitism and writes regularly about antisemitism and extremism for newspapers and journals in the UK and abroad.…

On November 29 our community hosted The World AIDS Day Service organised by LGBT+ group and BKY. Rabbi Igor Zinkov co-led the service with Rabbi Mark Solomon and Student Rabbi Anna Posner. Sir Nicholas Hytner, theatre director, film director, and film producer, gave a frank and outspoken address during the service.
