In this episode of Live Sense8, Zac and Sheila dive deep into Art Is Like Religion, Season 1 Episode 5 of the Netflix Original Series Sense8.

Sheila and Zac begin by analyzing the various ways communication within the cluster is depicted in this episode.

Shedding light on the nuances between, teleporting, telepathy, channeling and sharing senses.

Using Lito’s hilarious reaction to sharing Sun’s menstrual pain, Sheila and Zac discuss the impact of emotions and hormones on one’s ability to experience the fullness of life.

Nomi and Neets’ dialogue about the need to belong and impossibly being a kiss away from reality, sparks a conversation about romance and conscious relationships.

The title of this episode, Art Is Like Religion, directs our attention to a gun fight scene which Lito is shooting in an Art Museum for an upcoming movie. Through this scene the creators are giving us a window into the artistic process of shooting Sense8, once again blurring the lines between fiction and reality.

Of course, Kala’s epic wedding scene cannot be over looked, as another example of merging Art and Religion.
