When we are in the thick of trauma, abuse, neglect, or other harmful circumstances, it often feels like we will never get out of it. I know when I have underwent longterm complex trauma, it seemed like it was never ending; like a cloud hung over me for years (and sometimes it still does).

What we often don’t realize until we’ve healed is that our circumstances will eventually pass—that there is a life beyond emotional pain. Chelsea Elliott, the founder of Sōmōcom Lab, creator of EQ Kids Crew, a wife, and mother, knows pain like many of us do, but she is a living example of life after healing.

On today’s podcast episode, I talk with Chelsea about living with anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, and more. Chelsea shares her wisdom in being a parent and how she aims to help her children better feel their emotions. Chelsea is an inspiration to me! I look forward to hearing what you think about this inspiring episode.
