With the school year behind us and long sunny days ahead, how do we keep our sanity while managing our kids' behaviors?

The Summer break can be a beautiful time for making memories with your family but sometimes, the change of routine and lack of structure can create changes in your children’s behavior

In today’s episode, Yamel is joined by Rebecca Ryan, a board certified behavioural analyst and licensed behaviour consultant with over a decade of experience in the behaviour field, to share her expert insights.

In this episode, Yamel and Rebecca discuss:

  • some of the common behavioural challenges you may see in your children during this more unstructured time,
  • strategies for tackling these behaviors and what you can do to minimise the impact of these,
  • common issues during Summer break such as how to handle balancing screen time with screen-free activities,
  • sibling squabbles and meltdowns and how to mitigate these,
  • the importance of having realistic expectations and giving yourself grace as you navigate some of these changes,

… and much more!

This episode is jam-packed with practical advice to help you maintain calm and enjoy a fun-filled Summer with your family.

This is the last episode of this season of The Motherhood Kit, before Yamel takes some time off to enjoy her Summer break with her family. She will be returning with more great episodes in August, so make sure you’re following the podcast on your favourite podcast App so you don’t miss it when The Motherhood Kit returns!
