Ruper Callander, now an established undertaker, set out to become a pioneering example of the profession. He brought a "DIY' ethos to the business of death (and a sky blue Ford Galaxy hearse) which he explains to great effect is his book "What Remains? Life, Death and the Human Art of Undertaking".
This episode is a fascinating listen for those inside the profession and the rest of us, its future clientele.
"What Remains? Life, Death and the Human Art of Undertaking" by Rupert Callender is published by Chelsea Green.
