“I Never Lose. I Either Win or I Learn” - Nelson Mandela

Ask anyone in business if they’ve ever had to pivot and I’m sure the overwhelming response would be YES! At some point in our lives we’ve all had to make the decision to completely change the way we’ve done something or continue to persevere.
When businesses are looking to pivot, it is to help the company improve revenue or survive in the market. Goals for individuals are not much different from a business when it comes to improving or surviving when you think about it. An individual may find they need to change course after a pivotal life event, when things feel off or they’re unsatisfied. Perhaps out of alignment. We can also experience some sort of inspiration causing one to pivot.
Regardless of what the root cause, it’s important to equate a pivot with business/individual evolution rather than business/individual failure.
