This is a SPECIAL BROADCAST of former President Donald J. Trump appearing at the 2024 Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, WI, on Thursday, July 18th, 2024, at 9 p.m. (ET). This is the fourth and final day of the RNC; however, this will be Trump's first time speaking at the convention this year, and it will be his first public address since the assassination attempt on Saturday, July 13th, 2024 (just five days ago).
Sources close to President Trump have reported that he has completely rewritten his speech after the incident in Butler, PA. What was initially going to be a heavier and maybe even angrier-toned speech focusing on President Joe Biden's failures and how bad off the country is has shifted into a message calling for "UNITY!"
This is an extremely historical event, and the Political Spotlight team felt it was important to cover it! The Political Spotlight will offer commentary on the speech and the rest of the evening.
