Today we're joined by a familiar face in the local real estate scene, Vincent "Vinnie" Forzese. As the owner and broker at Realty One Group Nest here in Newburyport, Vinnie has built a successful career focusing on community connections and client relationships. We're excited to chat with Vinnie about his experiences and insights on real estate in our area.

Vinnie shares how getting involved in the local community through videos and interviews helped him build his brand when new to the area, despite growing up just 30 minutes away. This episode also touches on industry changes like remote work capabilities and how affordable housing challenges can be addressed.

He dives into strategies for navigating slow markets like communication tools for sellers and the different types of buyers exiting today's market. Affordable housing challenges in the region are also examined, with thoughts on regulations that could help boost much-needed new inventory.

Things we discussed in this episode:

  • Vinnie's background and starting his career in real estate
  • His approach of getting involved in the local community when moving to Newburyport
  • The importance of building relationships and staying top of mind over the long term
  • Changes in technology and how it has impacted real estate workflows
  • Transitioning from an individual agent to leading his own brokerage team
  • Navigating slow periods in the market and maintaining consistency
  • The purpose of having a physical office space today
  • Industry changes like remote work and impacts of recent commission legislation
  • Challenges around affordable housing and potential solutions
  • Working relationships between real estate agents and local attorneys
