Hope for Healthcare, Episode 13 | with Marie Cosgrove

This is Hope for Healthcare, where patients and providers share the messy, intimate, real stories that have defined their relationship with healthcare—and might just help you define yours.

“It’s not only about selling a piece of equipment, it’s like, how can I help you help your patient?”

Marie Cosgrove

12 years ago, Marie Cosgrove was fired from her job for refusing to take a paycut. She went on to start her own company—and then buy the company that fired her.

She now stands at the helm of the leading supplier of diagnostic devices for concussions and balance disorders. She uses her position to inspire other entrepreneurs, and to champion the value of a more compassionate approach within the medical community.

Her recent book, Greater Fortune, tells a deeply intimate story of her journey from being left with nothing, to finding her place and power in the world.

This episode references sexual assault, which some listeners may find distressing.
