In our 2nd episode of season two, my guest Kathryn and I discuss the divinity of Christ. We run through the titles of Christ, quotes from the early church fathers, as well as review scripture passages that provide a foundation for understanding His divinity. Many early heresies in the church were often revolved around Christology. So we take a look at Arianism, Nestorianism and Monophysitism.
From denying Christ's eternality and equality, to changing one of His natures. Each heresy had their own unique misunderstandings of Christ's person and nature. And further study into each, allows us to more readily understand what each one taught and why they were ultimately rejected.
