This week, we are joined by Cavelle Simpson from the Global Mental Health Outreach to talk about her experience with navigating online school and coping with burnout during the pandemic. She shares some of the challenges that she faced with social isolation, academic performance, and making time for her own well-being. Further, we briefly discuss the impact that the pandemic had on athletic performance as she struggled with her own return to sport as well. Cavelle offers some advice and suggestions from her own experience that will hopefully help someone else navigate these stressful times. On a positive note, she also talks about some of the things and events that she is looking forward to (i.e., prom, college applications, etc.) as we return somewhat "back to normal". If you're currently struggling, remember that using your resources, like tutors or guidance counselors, is a sign of strength, not weakness! Be sure to follow us on social media @therevolutionizedmind and @globalmentalhealth.outreach, and don't forget to rate, review, and subscribe to the show on whatever platform you're listening on!
