Do you suffer from chronic pain? Do you wish you could be free of it for good and take back control of your life?
Stay tuned for this interview with Dr Sarah Bryan, a physical therapist dedicated to achieving that freedom for every client, drawing on the services of a multidisciplinary team as necessary.
Sarah talks us through her holistic approach, working with the body to find imbalances, release restrictions and retrain the brain to keep the adjustments made. She may work with clients over several months, possibly including referrals to experts in other fields such as nutrition, exercise or podiatry in order to achieve the best results.
Her clients are happy to make that commitment, typically coming to her after living for years with unresolved pain, migraines or troublesome scar tissue. Very often they achieve fantastic results, leaving not only free of pain but also feeling more confident and younger in body and mind.
We also hear something about Sarah's own challenges. Born with total sight loss, she is one of very few completely blind people to achieve a Ph.D. No doubt her visual impairment has contributed to her communication skills and the power of her 'listening hands'. Since the start of the Covid pandemic she has also been offering mentoring services to others with sight loss, helping them to tap into their own strengths in order to lead fulfilling lives.
With such an inspirational story, it's no surprise to learn that Sarah's future ambitions include contributing to research and treating the most vulnerable in society.
Dr Sarah Bryan has been in clinical practice for over a decade and is currently based in Theale.
