Mike Croll is a Senior Lecturer in Security, Resilience, and Intelligence at Buckinghamshire New University. More a pracademic than an academic, he has held senior security appointments with the FCO, the EU, the UN and with Facebook. He has also worked in humanitarian mine clearance and was an Army Bomb Disposal Officer. Earlier this year he published “The Rise of Security: And Why We Always Want More” which explains how security became a $500bn global business.
