Every photographer and every creative knows that inspiration strikes… it is not something that an artist just turns on. There isn’t a bucket of inspiration we dip our cup into when we want to make photographs. Creativity has peaks and valleys, inspiration ebbs and flows. And that is a normal cycle in a creative life.

In this episode, I talk about my current creative valley and why I’m taking a “lean in” strategy and embracing the valley. Creativity can’t be forced, and sometimes it needs space to breathe and regenerate.

I’m taking a cue from Episode #14, Put It On The Shelf, and will take a short hiatus from the podcast. I’m thinking for the month of August 2021, I’ll take a break from the podcast. It’s not a full sabbatical from photography, though. Listen for more thoughts.
