If you want to gain more time, you first have to know WHERE your time is going! In this episode I discuss time tracking, how I've used it, who I learned about it from, and how it has changed my schedule.

If you want a quick version of looking at where your time is going, look on your phone. If you have an iPhone, go to Settings, Battery and scroll down. It will tell you battery usage by app in % or hit show activity and it will show in time. A lot of what I have learned about time tracking is from from Laura Vanderkam who was on the show in Episode 16. She has written several books: 168 Hours - you have more time than you think, I Know How She Does It, and Off the Clock - feel less busy while getting more done.

Once you know where your time is going, you can start to make adjustments to get the schedule you want!

How to Track

If you are going to track, do it for at least one week, if not two! 1. Use a notebook 2. Excel (you can get a template from Laura Vanderkam), I copied mine to google sheets so I could do it from my phone 3. Use an app: Atracker free and pro

What surprised you when you totaled up your week?
