031 How Being A Top Seller Has Everything To Do With Self Image

In this episode I discuss the difference between a mediocre salesperson and a top seller and how you can change your results if you put into practice what I am throwing down!
This applies to anything not just sales, but I love working with peak performers and those that aspire to do better in sales so for today we will focus on selling and how to show up in ANY economy, ANY team, ANY environment and WIN!
Your Self Image has EVERYTHING to do with your results, what you accept and expect in your life and whether or not you consistently hit sales targets.
Think about it this way, have you ever met anyone who has a 6 pack? They've done the work to make it happen, it didn't just happen, but how to they sustain it? It's because of their self image, they consistently do the work, automatically without thinking about it, to maintain it, to achieve the result. Having a 6 pack is part of their self image and it dictates their behavior, what they eat, how much the exercise, what happens when they have an off week, what they do if they miss a few days, everything!
When you change your self image, you change it all. This is why we must learn to focus on a bigger idea of ourselves and train ourselves to see ourselves achieving what we want. We have to push through the old habit patterns and create new, default ones that override and take the place of the old. Thats why image is so important. If you don't change the image you don't sustain the result.
For salespeople, it shows as the salesperson I describe in the Momentum Sales Model as THE YOYO'ER, they see the external result (they're not hitting target), they do a bunch of activity to force their revenue numbers and sales up, they achieve the desired result through a heap of effort and energy, then because they didn't change their self image, they start to drop back down to their self image. THIS IS THEIR PATTERN.
Change your self image and you change the game!
