If you have student loan debt or are still in vet school, tune in to today's minisode! Dr. Rebecca Mears generously shared some amazingly helpful information with me recently, and I knew I had to share it with you all. VIN Foundation has a plethora of great information available to veterinary professionals for ZERO dollars :)

Personalized help with student loans and repayment for veterinarians and vet students is completely FREE through VIN Foundation! This is done through an anonymous post on the student debt area of the VIN message boards. If someone is not a VIN member, they can create a free VIN Foundation login, which gives access to a small section of the message boards. Posting anonymously allows for a thorough discussion without identifying information being shared and others can learn alongside at the same time. If someone still has questions after a discussion on the message boards, additional help may be available through a phone/Zoom consultation, but it is suggested that a donation be made to VIN Foundation to help offset the time that goes into that session.

If you aren't a VIN member and would like to set up a VIN Foundation login do so here. (This link can be used for veterinarians, vet students or pre-vet applicants!)

If someone is looking for student loan help and isn't sure how to get started this page is really helpful. Filling out this Debt & Income Signalment provides the details needed to discuss a borrower's situation.

There's also a special pre-vet area on the VIN Foundation Center. For those looking to learn more about life as a veterinarian, applying to vet school, or vet school student debt, they are encouraged to use the Cost of Education map on VetSchoolBound.org and the Apply Smarter message board.
