Anticipatory Set: Teachers stealing ideas from other teachers isn’t a new concept, but it’s one often ignored and sometimes ridiculed. And Justin says that shouldn’t be the case. Teachers need to be thieves.

Getting Schooled: What happens when a teacher wants to put her students first and ends up destroying her career? Nothing good plus: ugly blouses, kids shrugging their shoulders when you ask if they know what they did was wrong, angry parents at a back-to-school night. Ronnie is triggered more that once, kids playing with lighters, kid journalists pulling a “gotcha,” kids being racist, and one of the worst principals we’ve ever covered in this podcast making the worst choices and practically driving that bus she’s throwing staff under.

Exit Ticket: Ronnie reads a Reddit thread that advocates for new and inspiring teachers to avoid the teacher’s lounge if they don’t want to run into grumpy veteran teachers who want to make everyone miserable. Teacher’s lounge stories are shared.
