Ardas lives in the Austin area of Texas. She took her first Kundalini Yoga class in Hamburg Germany in 1981 when she was 21. She went back to the US and moved into the Roswell ashram just north of Atlanta in 1982.
In 1982/83 academic year she attended Association Montessori Internationale in Atlanta to be a certified Montessori teacher. Her plan was to teach at one of the Khalsa Montessori schools, either in LA, Phoenix, or Espanola. She went to Summer Solstice 1983 and, instead, was arranged to marry Siri Bahadur Singh in Dallas. The directors of the Dallas ashram sent a telegram to Solstice that they were leaving. It was determined that Siri Bahadur Singh would be the best choice to be the director of the ashram and they wanted him to marry. She took minister vows in 1984.

Ardas and Siri Bahadur moved to Austin in 1990. In 1995, she completed a Master’s Degree at UT Austin and has had a career in government service. During the 80s and 90s she spent most every summer attending Khalsa Women’s Training Camp (KWTC). She also taught Kundalini Yoga until the mid-2000s.
