Kewal came into 3HO in the late 90’s. She met and became a student of Yogi Bhajan when she was 20 years old and spent the majority of her 20s and 30s working in the 3HO community. She was one of the founding owners of Yoga Yoga, opening and managing multiple yoga centers and living in Guru’s Grace Ashram in Austin, Texas. Later she became the director of Yoga Phoenix, the 3HO yoga center in Phoenix, Arizona, and was the assistant director of 3HO Foundation of Arizona.

Kewal was a KRI teacher trainer as well as doing work for KRI. She was part of 3HO communities in Austin, Texas, Espanola, NM, and Phoenix, Arizona. She had an arranged marriage (now amicably divorced) and two children while in 3HO. Kewal’s relationship with 3HO began to change around 2010, and was a gradual and personal process, but she still holds close, meaningful connections with family and community established in the 3HO years.

She currently lives in Phoenix, Arizona, where she is finishing graduate school and raising her two children.
