Wendy and Matt discuss some personal experiences about professionals who have caused harm as a result of poor behaviors. We explore some of the reasons this could be happening. Topics include how trauma can impact a person's ability to self-advocate and the power discrepancy between professionals and people seeking services. Some food for thought on later episodes: How does the shifting paradigm that vacillates from the all-knowing expert to the person who does "their research" impact care.
Since Wendy and I are new to this please forgive some of the audio issues and the dog snoring in the background. We promise we will get better. Thank you for listening.
