Wendy brings up a topic she has coined as the "Trauma Olympics". This is the tendency for people to both minimize and compare their lived trauma to those of others. This leads to people unintentionally undermining the impact it has had on them. Wendy and Matt both gives examples of what has been sometimes labeled as Big Trauma and Little trauma. Is there truly a difference? There is discussion of how we can work together, as a society, to understand each other and support each other.
