To begin 2024, we present our conversation with well known Boston media member, Mike Felger. Mike hosts drive time on 98.5 The Sports Hub with Tony Massarotti and Boston Sports Tonight with Michael Holley on NBC Sports Boston.

While Felger is from Wisconsin, he’s lived in Boston since 1989. He was a Patriots beat columnist from 1999-08 and wrote the book, “Tales from the Patriots Sideline: A Collection of the Greatest Stories of the Team’s First 40 Years” (2004).

We talk about the current ownership group compared historically and what the Patriots brand looked like prior to Robert Kraft. How does Mike view what’s in store for Patriots leadership after the 2023 season?

We discuss the 1976 Pats team, their talent, and their coach, Chuck Fairbanks. What are Felger’s memories from the research he did regarding the ‘76 controversial playoff game with the Raiders?

We take Mike back to his Wisconsin roots speaking about how Green Bay has transitioned quarterbacks vs New England. Then delve deeper into the Badger State to test Mike on Patriots and NFL players who were born there.

Felger also discusses some interactions he’s had outside of the locker room with those he’s written/spoken about and explains why he no longer engages with players outside of a professional setting.
