Growing up was hard and lonely for David. The only child of a single mom he was mostly cared for by his grandma, until she lost her fight with cancer. He was only 4. David did his best but he had no coping skills and no support system. He was a sickly child and doctors misdiagnosed him repeatedly. But it wasn't until they discovered an "inoperable" tumor that the medical traumas really began. But in the midst of all the mayhem David found a peace to carry him through.
