Hello beautiful people, it's that time again. It's Village Mentality Wednesday!!!
In this week's episode, I'll be talking about 'Crisis Response and Intervention.' Mental health treatment and suicide prevention are critical healthcare issues for our country. Oftentimes, when someone is experiencing a mental health crisis or emotional distress, they will most likely interact with law enforcement instead of a mental health professional. Let's learn together about the 3 Core Elements of the National Guidelines for Crisis Care.
In my segment, "Let's Talk About It," June is PTSD Awareness Month (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), and it is something that affects adults and children in similar ways. But let's talk about the differences experienced by children with this condition. Also, check out who I'll be highlighting for Black History Wednesday.
