Dawn is joined by mental health advocate Eden Gold in this episode of Wake Up To Real Love. Together they discuss normalising mental health struggles, and how to overcome issues and traumas by the law of conversion energy.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • We want to normalise all of the different forms of mental health struggles. Emotional and relationship struggles are all part of the human condition and instead of hiding them in the dark we need to bring them into the light.
  • When we talk about our issues and traumas, and when we do so they lose their power and their charge over us. But the law of conservation of energy says that energy is neither created nor destroyed, but can only be transferred or transformed.

  • We can’t just deal with pain by ourselves and keep it in. Eventually, it builds up enough and without the communication of our problems and releasing the pain it builds up and it will demand itself to be heard.

  • If you hold onto fear it’s this sense of the known and something that you feel you have the control to manage, but it’s a false sense of security.

BEST MOMENTS

“We can all relate to loss, grief and family hardships”

“I hid a lot of my pain and a lot of my insecurities, so from the outside, it would appear that everything was okay.”

“Where there is a lack of love there is a disconnect.”

“Instead of hiding mental health and pretending that it doesn’t exist, which is what keeps us in these hurt and stuck places, we need to bring it to light.”
