True story: I had one of those two-foot-tall hard plastic Godzilla toys you see to the left. I used to sleep with it instead of a stuffed animal. All well and good, until his rocket fist would go off in the middle of the night and hit me in the eye. Godzilla apparently never heard the saying “love shouldn’t hurt.”

This informed every major relationship of the rest of my life.

In this episode! (Which is now going back to the old numbering, because I’m too lazy to keep remembering to say the right episode number at the top of the show):

I saw Godzilla in the theater, and while Nate didn’t, he agrees with me that you should. Probably not for the same reasons, mind you; I think it’s a “good enough” spectacle movie, and Nate just likes to tell people to spend their money foolishly. He has the best interests of the nation’s economy at heart.

We both saw The Grand Budapest Hotel, and we both agree that if you like Wes Anderson movies, this is one of those. Plus, it has a painting that depicts graphic lesbian foreplay, so, you know, score.

After a break, Nate and I discuss Captain America 2 Colon The Winter Soldier (NOTE: I don’t think he actually has two colons, but you never know what that Super Soldier Serum might do to your innards). We generally agree that it rocks out with its cocks out (NOTE: there are no cocks in this movie)(SECOND NOTE: see other note, above, regarding whether or not Cap has two phalli)(THIRD NOTE: Phalluses?).

After that, I tell Nate to not see The Amazing Spider-Man 2, because it’s bad in a very peculiar way, which leads to a discussion of whether or not we’ve reached Peak Superhero. The fact that we discuss Sony, Fox, and Marvel studios and completely forget to talk about any DC superhero movies probably says something about where DC is with their superhero franchises.

We wrap up that segment with Nate doing a Redbox Roundup on The Lego Movie and telling me that I’m a dumbass for not seeing it. I agree with him.

Finally, we spend twenty minutes or so on the easiest Clip Game I’ve ever put together. Play along at home!

And that’s that. We took almost a quarter of the year off, but we’re back, and we’re bringing the pain. So strap it on, lube it up, and get ready to get an orifice full of greasy podcast gold.
