If you really think about it, every living thing begins in the soil. The plants you eat, which are eaten by the animals that you also might eat, and even the clothes you wear likely came from a plant that grew in the soil...so many things we rely on for daily function/survival begin in the soil. Because of this, healthy soils are actually one of the most important things we should care about for longevity and quality of life. There are also SO many direct connections between soil and health and human health that we dive into in this episode. For example, did you know the microbiome of the soil is just as important as our own gut microbiomes for promoting healthy immune system function? Soils actually have their own microbiomes and digestive systems that allow them to provide plants with proper nutrients, which then supports our bodies when we consume them. It's all more interconnected than you might think!! Mentions: Kiss the Ground Documentary Intro & Outro Song: What Would You Do? Instrumental x HONNE ft. Pink Sweat$ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5j3PAoNNfJg
