Episode 17 features 1st Lt Riley Tejcek.

So who is 1st Lt Riley Tejcek? Riley Tejcek was raised in Carmel, Indiana and after high school received a softball scholarship to play D1 at George Washington University (GWU). Riley played four years there and graduated with a degree in Political Science. During her freshman year of college she met a Marine Officer Recruiter and fell in love with the Corps. While at GWU, Compton interned for a Congressman working with military policy at Fort Hood.

1st Lt Tejcek is also the 2022 Marine Corps Female Athlete of the Year, which is awarded to active-duty Marines who demonstrate the best the Corps offers, both in sport and the embodiment of the USMC. Riley's path from college athletics to becoming a marine officer is so impressive. She took her athleticism to the next level by participating in an online combine for Team USA Bobsled and has since represented Team USA in the North American Cup and the National Team Push Championships. She qualified for the Junior World Championships in Austria and recently became 2022-2023 National Team member, with future aspiration to become an Olympic athlete in 2026.

Riley recently competed with her mother, Annmarie Tejcek, on the show Lingo. They won the jackpot by correctly guessing the winning word, “talent. Lingo features four teams competing in matches where they are given one letter of a word and have five tries to guess the answer within 10 seconds. The top-two scoring teams compete for the jackpot.
