How many friends do you have? If you look at your social media accounts, you might think you have hundreds, even thousands of friends.

But are how many of those connections are your true friends?

Not many, we would venture to guess.

While the minds behind the massive social media machines twist and congeal the meaning of the word "friend" to their liking, they can't rewire the basic human need for intimate connection with our fellow man.

How do you know if you have the right friends?

How can you be the right kind of friend to others?

A true friendship doesn't just happen; it takes effort and patience by both parties.

In this episode, we take a look at two sides of every friendship. You'll hear about some of Wendie and Todd's personal friends (and their own friendship which eventually became a marriage) along with some examples from the Scriptures that serve as an example of what God has in mind for friendships.

If you want to learn how to have the the best kind of friends and be the best friend you can be, then this episode is for you.

Here's a bit of what you'll hear in this episode:

-The academic definition of the word "friend"...02:30

-The need for real friends, in and out of a marriage...05:15

-Are we being the best friend we can be?...09:15

-A biblical definition of friendship...14:00

-Biblical examples of true friendships...18:00

-What to do when we're in a bad friendship...20:45

-Getting back to the basics when it comes to friendships...27:15
