In 2016 I walked away from a business I had spent 4 years building. It was filled with momentum and right on the brink of so many goals I had spent years cultivating. And then, I quit. It wasn't a single moment, or a large announcement or anything anyone else really noticed. My heart disconnected.I starting leaning out instead of leaning in. I started doing the bare minimum to get buy and not caring at all about growth.

Why? Why would I quit on something I had given so much of my time, resources, and energy to?

That's the story I share on the podcast today. I shared the intimate details of that season of my life. Things I have never talked about publicly and very few people in my life have heard.

Why would I share these intimate details with you?

Because I think quitting is sometimes of the healthiest things we can do. The longer we stay on a path that is not leading us where we want to go, the worse it gets. Sometimes, you have to accept the reality that the sooner you can cut your losses, accept defeat, and clear something out of your life, the sooner you can make space for something new to enter.

Quitting can be a gift.

I also share how the epiphany came as a result of ONE question a life coach asked me over a cup of coffee. Sometimes we just need someone to ask the right question, in the right way, that we see everything differently.

For me, that question was, "Is that really the ONLY way you can achieve that goal?" Why was I so attached to this one path? I had my blinders on and wasn't looking around at all the other ways to approach the situation.

One conversation with a life coach changed my entire life.
