Archetypes are stories. They are the shared patterns, themes, and symbols that have universal meanings across cultures and time. They provide structure to the human experience and they can help us understand ourselves too. Through the frame of archetypes, we can see our strengths and shadows – providing us opportunities to grow. When applied in an organization, clarity of archetypes – knowing who you want to be and how you want to show up as an organization in the world– is foundational to developing a culture that sustains the organization for years to come.

My guest for this episode is Cynthia Forstmann, co-founder of CultureTalk. CultureTalk offers an end-to-end system for measuring the culture of the organization, as well as the strengths of the leaders and teams that drive it. Cynthia and her team have certified an international community of executive coaches, culture consultants including me to use the CultureTalk System as a culture assessment and development tool.

Listen in as we discuss the how understanding archetypes can help shift and evolve cultures and lead and grow your people.
