Do you dare to walk these stairs again? Too late, we’re already falling down them into 1990’s THE EXORCIST III, and helping to cushion our fall is film and culture writer Drew McWeeny! Along the way, we tackle the film’s “one and done” filming strategy, we debate how the film’s unreality becomes a reality, the incredible performances given by George C. Scott, Brad Dourif, and the other supporting characters, we work through the high camp comedy combined with dedicated sincerity of the characters, and of course, we pick apart the film’s scariest shock sequence: Larry King ordering a sandwich. All this plus a high-spirited round of Choose Your Own Deathventure, and yes, we talk about “the jump scare.” And Fabio.
