Manage episode 310842383 series 3074589
Hi mamas, I’m still coming at you during the COV19 pandemic and I’ve had a lot of mamas reach out and say what they actually need are podcast episodes about things that aren’t related to the virus. Informative, fun, creative, thoughtful episodes, that can help us retain a semblance of normalcy during stressful times. There are tons of mamas out there who could still use support and advice on some of the tougher or taboo subjects of motherhood and today we are going to talk about a really important one-pelvic floor health.
Painful sex, leaking, heaviness. The are all considered normal by society, but are actually a sign of damage to new mothers pelvic floors. Today’s renowned guest, and founder of the Vagina Whisperer, Sara Reardon is the owner of NOLA Pelvic Health in New Orleans. This is an online resource for pelvic health education and wellness sessions to help individuals worldwide. As a doctor of physical therapy she says that moms need to have more support in this arena postpartum.
How Sara is currently dealing with this social isolation at home with her littles
Authenticity in motherhood and how to articulate our truth
Why motherhood is constantly a juggle and there is never a time where we have it all figured out
Why Sara was passionate about working in pelvic floor physical therapy
