February 17th, 1989: An opening weekend bursting with so much misguided mediocrity, not even one of James Woods’ scrunchies can contain it.
While Mr. Woods is chewing up the scenery, Dan, Jason, and Fred are chewing on everything Burger King had to offer. If only Bill and Ted could travel back in time and say, “Dan! Dude! Put down the Chicken Royale! Try this excellent salad!”
Or maybe, “Fred, dude! No need to join a band with a 30-something psychopath you met through a personal ad! Wyld Stallyns needs a drummer!”
Or “Jason, dude! What’s with the bad review of our movie in your high school paper? Not coo…Oh, wait…actually….you’re right. NOT EXCELLENT!!!” (Cue air-guitar)
What’s creepier? Tom Hanks’ new neighbors, the Clopecks or James Woods’ head’s new neighbor, the ponytail?
