Working off hours and weekends is fine, if that is what your company policies and expectations are and they are agreed upon.

Discussing and letting your potential clients and current clients know what is acceptable and not is also very important.

Our goal was to not force anyone to work on the weekend as we believe that is time better spent with their families in most cases.

But as soon as you begin to cross that line and answer that 9pm phone call or Sunday email from a client there is no going back.

If your team or one member of the team is doing this, it is setting up the entire team for expectations that cannot be met and clients that will be upset that Kyle does it why doesn't anyone else answer me, or if Kyle stops answering because he is unavailable they will think they are being ignored.

Set the stage early, don't let anyone cross those boundaries and lead a successful business and life balance.

Remember you do not have to be available 24/7 in most businesses.
