In today's episode I talk with Leslie Colburn who celebrated her 1-Year Sugarversary on May 27th! Leslie reflects on the past year through her journal entries and shares with us the 10 things that really helped her, coming to terms with and accepting that she has an addiction and she takes us through a day where she compares what it looks like off sugar and flour versus how different it would have looked a year ago. Having struggled with sugar addiction and the restrict-binge cycle for over 35 years, Leslie has finally found what works for her and has been sugar and binge-free for 389 days. The UnSweetened Sio podcast and the monthly recaps have given her the support and tools she has needed to find hope and recovery. She hopes to encourage others who struggle with sugar addiction by sharing her story. Leslie is a mom, a wife, and an author. Her newest children’s books Our Goodnight Prayer and YOU: A Reason to Celebrate teach children that they are a masterpiece and encourages them to let their light shine. Giving up sugar has allowed Leslie to celebrate who she is and has given her a new hope.
