When providing feedback, good or bad, do not exaggerate it, be honest, clear and to the point. And please remember when providing feedback to talk about the one thing about the person you are talking about, not the whole person, his/her race, country, and continent

When providing feedback to yourself, self assessment, again be to the point, it is about that one issue not the whole you. If you have made a mistake do not justify it, accept it, but do not cry about it or blame yourself. Think about how you can fix it going forward.

When proving any feedback, mainly when it is rather negative, if you have a hard time saying it, then right it down. Make sure it comes from a place of love and care for the other party and do not worry as much re wording. You should feel comfortable otherwise you will make the other party uncomfortable as well.

Generally Provide your feedback not sooner than later 24 hrs and no later than one week. Providing badly performed feedback is better than providing no feedback. After all this will be your practice ground and can improve on. If you do not provide any feedback, then you will never get better at it

If you can instead of just giving advice to ask questions and help them to be in the driver seat.
