If you’ve been to coaching schools, trainings, or gone through coach certification, you’ve likely been taught some form of coaching that often looks like an equation. These tools are amazing, and there’s a reason we use them. However, when we use tools like this to pick out one single thought or emotion at any given time, it can get a little messy and sometimes isn’t actually useful. This is what I’m diving into today.

Hear when it’s useful and when it isn’t to explore one thought or feeling at a time, whether in relation to working with your clients or in your self-coaching. I’m sharing my thoughts on what you might miss out on when you prioritize this over exploration, and examples from my own life of where this practice can be valuable.
