Die Clostridioides-difficile-Infektion ist in Deutschland die vierthäufigste nosokomiale Infektionsart. Symptome reichen dabei von leichter Diarrhoe bis zum toxischen Megakolon und zur Sepsis. Hauptrisikofaktor für das Auftreten ist eine Therapie mit Antibiotika.
