Relying on Faith to Navigate Anxiety in Motherhood with Courtney Devich
Manage episode 388250402 series 3505233
On today's episode of the Moms Working Overtime podcast, we have the opportunity to hear from Courtney Devich, author of Mama's Got Anxiety.
Courtney writes on all things - faith, motherhood, and mental health - as a vulnerable exposure of her own struggles and experiences. On this episode, she shares how anxiety impacts multiple facets of motherhood, how faith helped her understand her own anxiety, and how to overcome feelings of anxiety or worry.
What I love most about Courtney's perspective on anxiety is that it's not something to be "fixed." As moms, we put so much pressure on ourselves to be perfect and when we experience anxiety, we often interpret as a problem to solve. She uses examples from scripture to validate those moments as normal and how to realistically overcome them.
