Many people will have made rash, alcohol-infused New Year’s resolutions about getting to the gym to get fitter & maybe lose some body weight.

This episode discusses exactly that; getting down to the gym if you haven’t been before, or you haven’t been for a while. The thought of walking into a gym full of buffed gym bunnies is understandably daunting, but it needn’t be. Nobody at the gym will be looking at you, or comparing the weights you lift with themselves. They are all there to do their own workouts, whether they want to become fitter, stronger, or just look physically better. The hardest part for you will be walking in the door, and perhaps figuring out what all the machines actually do. But most people at most gyms are helpful, & will be more than pleased to help answer questions such as “how the hell do I work this machine?”.
